Project Saysay Launches Delgado Portrait, Poster Design
In partnership with the Sta. Barbara Centennial Museum in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), Project Saysay Inc. had a special unveiling of the portrait and launching of the poster design featuring Gen. Martin Delgado, the liberator of the Visayas during the Philippine Revolution on 1898. It was held at Sta. Barbara Centennial Museum right after the state ceremony in commemoration of the death centenary of the general.
NHCP Acting Executive Director Ludovico D. Badoy led the unveiling of Gen. Delgado’s portrait and Iloilo launching of the honoree’s Project Saysay poster design. It was followed by the turnover of the 140 Project Saysay posters featuring the 25 new designs to Sta. Barbara Elementary School (SBES). The production of the posters was courtesy of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
The event was graced by the school administrators of SBES, relatives of Gen. Delgado, and other invitees of the museum.
This kind event was first of its kind. NCCA Executive Director Rico Pableo, Jr. had signified his interest of mounting such event at the birthplace of the ProjectSaysay honoree.
